In early 2022, Amy Schumer listed her Manhattan penthouse and moved into a meticulously renovated 19th-century townhouse in Brooklyn. Now, nearly three years later, the comedian and actress is on the move again—this time returning to Manhattan’s Upper West Side. Her stately Federal-style home in Brooklyn Heights has hit the market for $14 million, represented by Adam Modlin of the Modlin Group and Karen and Kyle Talbott of the Corcoran Group. [Source: AD]

The brick-and-mansard townhouse, famously featured as the Castorini family home in the 1987 Oscar-winning film Moonstruck (starring Cher and Nicolas Cage), spans 26 feet wide and offers over 5,500 square feet of living space. Spread across five levels, the residence includes four (or potentially five) bedrooms and four bathrooms, bathed in natural light thanks to an impressive 30 windows.

The first floor boasts a stunning kitchen with an exposed beam ceiling, wide-plank hardwood floors, and vintage wood cabinetry, complemented by a marble-topped island and high-end Gaggenau and Lacanche appliances. A butler’s pantry with a zinc bar sink and a cozy breakfast nook add to the charm. Adjacent, a wood-paneled library (originally a bedroom) flows into a mudroom, leading to a beautifully landscaped backyard by Michael Van Valkenburgh. Currently featuring a turf play area, the space could easily be converted into private gated parking.

Upstairs, the second level welcomes guests with a pair of elegant fireside parlors separated by pocket doors, a powder room, and access to an iron-railed terrace with steps down to the garden. The entire third floor is dedicated to a lavish primary suite, complete with a corner bedroom anchored by an original fireplace. The suite also includes a dressing room, sitting area, office, and a marble bathroom with dual vanities, a clawfoot soaking tub, and a glass-enclosed shower—plus the indulgence of a second fireplace.

Three more bedrooms that share a penny-tiled bath can be found on the top floor, along with a Miele washer and dryer. Rounding it all out in style is the basement, which hosts a custom wine cellar, an excavated gym, and full laundry facilities.
