The Beaux-Arts mansion where callous patriarch Logan Roy (Brian Cox) lives with his third wife, Marcia (Hiam Abbass), a spectacular Gilded Age structure that most recently housed the American Irish Historical Society, hit the market in January 2021 for $52 million and remains up for grabs today, albeit at a slightly reduced $44 million. The luxurious Woolworth Tower Residences unit that plays the home of Rava Roy (Natalie Gold), ex-wife of Waystar Royco Co-Chief Operating Officer Kendall Roy (Jeremy Strong), is also seeking a buyer at just upwards of $23 million.
And now the Chelsea townhouse Roman Roy (Kieran Culkin) calls home, a six-story stunner located directly across from the famed Dream Hotel at 357 W. 17th St., is available! Originally built in 1920, the lush property was thoroughly reimagined following a $9.35 million sale to Girona Ventures and Wonder Works Construction Corp. in 2015. At the time, the 25-foot wide structure was made up of ground-floor retail space and two upper-level residential units (one formerly occupied by industrial designer Karim Rashid). But in a large-scale, no-expenses-spared transformation spearheaded by the Brooklyn-based Workshop Design + Architecture firm and Andres Escobar, partner and design principal at Lemay + Escobar, the building’s interior was gutted, an additional level added and all the floors merged to convert the place into one massive single-family property. Completed in 2016, the revamped residence boasts five bedrooms and a whopping 13 bathrooms in 11,000 square feet – with plenty of closet space to house the multitude of skeletons befitting a Roy family member. Following the renovation, the sleek townhouse was put up for sale for $36.8 million, generating a slew of media headlines – but zero takers.
