The home at 45 Whalers Lane in Amagansett—which was made famous after being featured in an episode of Seinfeld, and also made an appearance in the 1998 film, Deep Impact—has sold after almost a year on the market for about $3 million under its original asking price.

Back in February of 2017, the home listed under Corcoran Group Real Estate agents Jackie Dunphy, Greg Schmidt, and Tom Griffith for $8.75 million. A few months later in April, the oceanfront estate got a price cut down to $7.9 million. It sold earlier this month for $5,725,000.

Built in 1930, the home has an interesting history aside from its on-screen appearances. It has a three-level bunker that the Coast Guard used in World War II to look out for land or sea attacks.

Aside from the original bunker, the Amagansett Dunes estate also features four ensuite bedrooms in 4,000 square feet of space, an eight-burner stove in the kitchen, two fireplaces, and a two-car attached garage.

Outside, there’s a heated gunite pool and 228 feet of direct ocean frontage on the 1.37-acre property.
