Joan Rivers purchased the 42-foot-wide property in 1988, about a year after the death of her husband, Edgar Rosenberg. She lived there until her passing in 2014, as reported by the New York Post. The estate was sold a year later for $28 million to Saudi Prince Mohammed bin Fahd Al Saud. The prince initially listed the property for $38 million in 2021, but later lowered the asking price and temporarily took it off the market in 2023.
