Joshua Kushner and Karlie Kloss In Contract for Puck Penthouse

Venture capitalist Joshua Kushner and supermodel Karlie Kloss are in contract to buy a sprawling New York City penthouse developed by his family’s real-estate empire, according to people familiar with the transaction. The purchase price isn’t known; the unit was last asking $42.5 million. The couple inked a deal to purchase the last remaining unit in the Puck Penthouses in Nolita, a condominium project developed by Kushner Cos., according the people familiar. Mr. Kushner is the founder of Thrive Capital and doesn’t have a role at Kushner, the company once led by his brother, Jared Kushner, the son-in-law of former President Donald Trump and an ex-White House senior adviser. In addition to her modeling career, Ms. Kloss is the founder of Kode With Klossy, a free coding camp for girls. The couple couldn’t immediately be reached for comment.

Known as Penthouse 1, the duplex is more than 7,200 square feet and has barrel vaulted ceilings, a library and a home theater, according to the listing. There is roughly 5,100 square feet of private outdoor space, including a terrace with a putting green and a hot tub.

The unit was originally listed for $66 million in 2015, according to StreetEasy. The apartment was then on and off the market for several years before it relisted for $42.5 million in March 2019, The Wall Street Journal reported. At the time, a spokeswoman for Kushner said it had been off the market because it was rented out for $1.25 million a year. Adam Modlin of the Modlin Group had the listing and represented the buyer.
