She’s been an astronaut, a Major League Baseball player, a racecar driver, a robotics engineer, and a presidential candidate. And now the iconic doll that first emerged in 1959 is now starring in her very own blockbuster movie, hitting theaters tonight. Barbie’s primary residence is her dream house, the three-story pink palace that has a swimming pool, a slide, an elevator and plenty of outdoor space. But would a woman with such illustrious careers have just one home? With that in mind, Mansion Global pulled together a selection of properties that Barbie might consider for her other homes. Barbie’s Mexican Beach House

This rental home in Mexico is perfect for a Barbie summer getaway. The pink-painted house stands on a cliff just above Playa Rosa beach in the heart of Careyes. The house can accommodate 10 across its five bedroom suites, plenty of space for her and all of her friends. And all the suites have far-reaching ocean views. Plenty of the home’s spaces are covered but open to the outdoors. The traditional Mexican palapa—the name for an open-sided shelter with a thatched roof of palm leaves or branches—has a dining space, a breakfast area, a living room and a kitchen, all in pretty neutral tones with organic materials. The property also has an infinity pool, a bar and lounge, a hot tub and a TV room. We think Barbie would prefer the Pink Suite most of all. But the Blue Bungalow with its private pool would probably be a close second.

There is plenty of pink across this Boston-area home.

Barbie’s Boston Pied-à-Terre

A woman with so many STEM degrees likely passed through at least one of Boston’s storied universities, and this eccentric hot-pink home in the city’s Somerville suburb would make the perfect Barbie Beantown pied-à-terre. In the living room and dining rooms, striped gold-and-pink walls are paired with a cotton candy-colored ceiling and a turquoise fireplace. Another living space, that could be a den or an office, has green striped walls.

The property’s lime green kitchen has a beamed ceiling and a black-and-white checkered floor, and the staircase combines a teal banister with leopard-print painted steps. Upstairs, the three bedrooms echo the colors used below, with a pink room, a muted turquoise space, and that bright lime green reappears, too. The house sold recently, and proving the power of pink, it received multiple offers and closed for almost $2 million—some $400,000 more than its asking price.

Barbie’s Retro California Pad

Eager home buyers shared Barbie’s love of pink on the West Coast, too, where this snazzy home in Tarzana, California, went into escrow in less than 12 hours—and also sold for more than it was asking.  Like all these homes, the outside is a pretty pink color, and that theme continues inside, where the rose-hued living room has bold accents, like red curtains and a wallpapered chimney. The dining room is a tropical getaway with banana-leaf print walls and a checkered tile floor.

The pink-tiled kitchen has a retro feel with views over the surrounding landscape, and one of the home’s two bathrooms pairs green tile with a floral wallpaper, while the other has a stand-out pink tub. Even outside, the built-in barbecue is painted pink. Paired with a pool and hot tub, the terrace is the perfect spot for Barbie to host Ken, Stacie or Skipper. For a closer look at all of these perfectly Barbie-suited homes, watch the latest episode of Mansion Global’s YouTube series.
