A press release reads that the space, which was once owned by the Ziegfeld-era Broadway set designer John Young, has “nine lives” — one of which, as Crain’s reports, was the Maryland-based TeraWulf, which mines crypto using renewable-energy sources and has a CEO who owns most of a small town on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. But not even Gwyneth Paltrow could shield a crypto company from the tumult of the markets, so the company put the space up for sale with Douglas Elliman only a year after buying it in September 2021 for $13.5 million.
