Now You Can Live in a Crypto Office

If your dream is to live in the former office of a crypto-mining company, look no further! What was once the open-concept, exposed-brick office of TeraWulf is now listed as a three-bedroom, four-bath residence — which the right buyer, with $19.5 million to spare, could turn into “the most creative of private mansions, or hybrid office with residential penthouse.” Why commute when you can just live in Hudson Yards? A press release reads that the space, which was once owned by the Ziegfeld-era Broadway set designer John Young, has “nine lives” — one of which, as Crain’s reports, was the Maryland-based TeraWulf, which mines crypto using renewable-energy sources and has a CEO who owns most of a small town on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. But not even Gwyneth Paltrow could shield a crypto company from the tumult of the markets, so the company put the space up for sale with Douglas Elliman only a year after buying it in September 2021 for $13.5 million. The building contains a Zen garden, chef’s kitchen, library, and (because it was most recently an office) a “glass-cubed” conference room. [Source: Curbed]
